Chandigarh, April 21-
In order to facilitate the Non Resident Indians (NRIs), the Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann today launched an exclusive helpline number 9464100168 to help them to keep a tab over their complaints and records pertaining to land.
Issuing the number, the Chief Minister described it as a red letter day for the entire Punjabi diaspora residing abroad. He emphasized that the sole aim of evolving this entire mechanism is to ensure quick disposal of services to the NRIs. Bhagwant Mann said that the state government is committed to ensure that the NRI brethren, who had proved their mettle across the globe, do not face any sort of problem back at home.
The Chief Minister said that NRIs have through their hard work, dedication and perseverance already carved a niche for them across the globe. He said that the state government is duty bound to ensure that they do not face any sort of difficulty back here at their native home. Bhagwant Mann said that the state government will make all out efforts to ensure that their complaints, if any, are redressed in a time bound and prompt manner.
The Chief Minister said that similarly another number 8194900002 has been launched for helping the residents of the state pertaining to land revenue matters. He said that any complaint lodged on these numbers will be resolved within 21 days. Bhagwant Mann envisioned that this initiative will further bring much needed transparency and efficiency in the working of the Revenue department.
